About the Role: As our Server , you will create memorable dining experiences by providing warm, attentive, and knowledgeable service to every guest. Whether serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, or special events, you will represent the energy and personality of M Social while delivering exceptional hospitality in Beast & Butterflies. Your Impact – Guest Dining Experience You will play an important role in creating memorable moments for our guests through exceptional service, menu knowledge, and attention to detail. Your professionalism, personality, and commitment to hospitality will help build guest loyalty and contribute to the restaurant's overall success. What You'll Be Doing Guest Service Welcome guests promptly with a warm, friendly, and professional attitude Present menus, answer questions, and make knowledgeable food and beverage recommendations Accurately take food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system Deliver food and beverages efficiently while ensuring accuracy and presentation standards Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience and respond promptly to requests Process guest payments accurately and thank guests for dining with us Food & Beverage Knowledge Develop a thorough understanding of menu items, daily specials, wine, beer, spirits, and cocktails Make personalized recommendations and upsell menu items when appropriate Communicate dietary restrictions, allergies, and special requests accurately to the kitchen Maintain knowledge of ingredients, preparation methods, and restaurant promotions Dining Room Operations Prepare tables before service and reset tables efficiently between guests Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, service stations, and side work Assist with opening, closing, and ongoing operational duties Support banquet, private dining, and special event service as needed Team Collaboration Work closely with bartenders, hosts, kitchen staff, food runners, and management to ensure seamless service Communicate effectively regarding guest requests and operational priorities Assist fellow team members during busy periods to maintain exceptional service standards Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and guest-focused work environment Safety & Compliance Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations Adhere to responsible alcohol service guidelines and verify guest identification when requiredMaintain cleanliness and organization of work areas throughout each shift Follow all company policies, cash handling procedures, and service standards Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Positive attitude and professional appearance Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts Technical / Role-Specific Requirements Previous restaurant or hotel serving experience preferred Strong knowledge of food, wine, beer, and beverage service preferred Experience using point-of-sale (POS) systems preferred Ability to accurately handle cash and process payments Food Handler Card required or ability to obtain upon hire Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification required or ability to obtain as required by California law Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a full-service restaurant, lifestyle hotel, or upscale dining environment preferred Wine and cocktail knowledge is a plus Experience with banquet or event service is beneficial Bilingual abilities are a plus Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift Frequently carry trays, food, and beverages weighing up to 35 pounds Ability to bend, reach, lift, and move quickly in a busy restaurant environment Comfortable working in a fast-paced, guest-facing setting Education High school diploma or equivalent preferred Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered At Millennium Hotels & Resorts, we support our employees with a competitive benefits package designed to promote wellbeing and long-term success: Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance Company-paid Life and AD&D Insurance Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Coverage 401(k) Retirement Plan with Company Match (where applicable) Paid Time Off & Paid Holidays Hotel Room Discounts across our global portfolio Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Benefits eligibility and offerings are subject to plan terms and company policy.
