Position Overview The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for all clinical aspects of treatment for the patients they oversee. This includes assessment, analysis of skills and challenging behaviors, development of treatment plans, overseeing implementation of treatment, collaboration and training of caregivers, and ongoing coaching and training of behavioral technicians. Treatment plans address areas of medical necessity and may occur at the CARD center, patient’s home, school, community, or via telehealth. Clinical Supervisors report to the Group Clinical Manager. This is a salaried, exempt, full‑time position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Use clinical judgment to promote optimal outcomes for each patient. Develop and maintain treatment plans. Ensure that all supervision hours are at 100% treatment adherence each month. Evaluate patients to identify skill deficits and strengths. Analyze challenging behaviors to identify their function. Develop functionally relevant treatment plans to reduce challenging behaviors. Observe treatment implementation for potential program revisions. Monitor treatment integrity to ensure satisfactory implementation of protocols. Direct behavioral technicians in the implementation of new or revised protocols. Provide ongoing coaching and training to behavioral technicians. Work physically within the center to support technicians and follow best practices of direct observation. Summarize and analyze data to evaluate patient progress toward goals and adjust protocols based on data. Update treatment plans at least once per month based on patient response. Fulfill a minimum of 120 payor/client‑authorized billable hours per month, inclusive of supervisory and therapy hours. Accurately communicate treatment responses to stakeholders (caregivers, payers). Coordinate care with other professionals. Administer, complete, and score standardized assessments. Include caregivers in the treatment team, evidenced by consistent Collaboration meetings. Interact with payers in a collaborative, professional, thorough, and informative manner. Engage with payers as needed for funding meetings (e.g., IEP, peer reviews). Stay up to date on best practices for ABA treatment to ensure clinical excellence. Maintain appropriate documentation in the patient’s medical record. Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and colleagues. Provide a safe and supportive environment for patients, families, and colleagues. Maintain compliance with HIPAA requirements at all times. Partner consistently and effectively with center leadership, including Operations Manager, Clinical Supervisors, Administrative Coordinator, Technician Leads. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Master’s degree in Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, or a related field. Certification as a behavior analyst from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board. Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Empathetic and compassionate individual who maintains strict confidentiality. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong time‑management skills and the ability to operate in a fast‑paced, changing environment. Computer proficiency and knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and Outlook; ability to use new computer systems and iPads. Desire to continuously learn and develop skill sets. Willingness to work in a variety of locations (center, patient home, etc.). Willingness to work with a variety of patients. Reliable transportation with proof of auto insurance. Must pass a tuberculosis test. Proficiency in English, both written and verbal. Work Environment Treatment may occur in a variety of settings: patient’s home, CARD center, school, community, or via telehealth. Clinical Supervisors work both indoors and outdoors and may move between locations during the workday. Environments may be subject to loud or excessive noise at times. Physical Requirements Work with patients seated on the floor, in small chairs, or other environments. Move frequently to gather materials, anticipate and respond to patient movement, and provide instruction in varied settings. Participate and respond to patient movements, including bending, kneeling, crouching, hurrying, and reaching. Utilize continuous visual tracking to monitor movement of patients and surrounding surroundings. Move to evade aggressive behaviors and physically block attempts to aggress toward others; occasionally bear weight of a patient. Teach patients to use vocal speech and model clear speaking; listen to and shape vocal communication of patients. Use modeling to teach gross motor skills (climbing, jumping) and fine motor skills (clapping, opening a container). Work in indoor and outdoor settings across weather conditions. Lift up to 30 lbs. while assisting patients.
