Health Unit Coordinator - Pediatric Med Surg

Position Summary FTE: 0.6 | Shift: Days | Schedule: 12‑hour day shifts. The Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) is an excellent opportunity to provide high‑quality patient care, monitoring, and mobility. As an HUC at MultiCare, you will hone your patient care and monitoring skills, nurture your communications development, and collaborate in support of care and delivery of patient services. Responsibilities Perform receptionist and communications duties. Support care delivery and services to patients from diverse ethnic and social groups. Use independent decision‑making capacities and strong interpersonal skills regularly. Collaborate with the Clinical Director and/or RN for optimal care delivery and patient services. Requirements Completion of an approved Unit Secretary vocational training course or current enrollment in a clinical education program, or one year (1) of previous patient‑care experience, or an equivalent one year of clerical experience in a medical setting. Pay and Benefit Expectations We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. The pay scale is $23.18 – $35.25 USD. Pay is influenced by factors such as skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
