Junior Litigation Associate

Job Overview: A law firm seeks a Junior Litigation Associate in Portland, OR. The associate will engage with clients in the agriculture, renewable energy, timber, and mining sectors, providing regional litigation services and handling diverse cases. Duties Prepare pleadings and draft briefs and motions. Support and execute discovery processes. Take and defend fact depositions; prepare witnesses. Assist in trial preparation and collaborate with trial teams. Communicate with clients and opposing counsel. Requirements JD from an accredited law school; Oregon bar admission or eligibility. Two to four years of litigation experience at a comparable firm. Proficiency in motions practice, depositions, and complex discovery. Familiarity with Federal and state procedural rules; clerkship or trial experience preferred. Strong writing, oral advocacy, and analytical skills. Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines. Proficiency with e-discovery platforms and litigation technology. Education Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution. Certifications Admitted to the Oregon State Bar or eligible for admission. Skills Exceptional writing and oral advocacy skills. Meticulous attention to detail.
