Procurement Specialist

Our client (BigLaw) is seeking a Temporary Procurement Specialist to support the Procurement and Contracts Manager with the day-to-day operational activities that keep the firm’s procurement function running smoothly.

This is a hands-on, highly administrative role focused on procurement support, data entry, data processing, and coordinating routine purchasing activities. Candidates with direct procurement experience are preferred; however, strong administrative professionals with solid data entry and data processing experience will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Work closely under the direction of the Procurement and Contracts Manager.
• Obtain quotes and support the purchasing process.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders.
• Coordinate and obtain required spend approvals.
• Coordinate signatures and related documentation.
• Support and manage the firm’s business card program.
• Perform accurate data entry and data processing.
• Conduct research and gather information as needed.
• Follow established processes and instructions and accurately process requests manually.
• Provide day-to-day administrative support to the procurement function.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to procurement activities.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in procurement, purchasing, buying, or a similar function is a plus.
• Strong administrative experience with data entry and data processing will be considered in lieu of direct procurement experience.
• Strong research and organizational skills.
• Ability to take direction and accurately process tasks manually.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• DocuSign experience required.
• Microsoft Office proficiency required.
• Experience with iManage or another document management system is a plus.
• Strong communication and follow-through skills.
