This job requires that you partner directly with classroom teachers to design, adapt, and deliver integrated, language-rich instruction that aligns with core curriculum standards. Actively collaborate with the counseling, administrative, and academic support teams to build holistic pathways to success for all students requiring language support. Deliver differentiated instruction through various models (such as push-in or co-teaching) depending on student and classroom needs. Foster a supportive, patient, and culturally responsive learning community that celebrates diversity and boosts student confidence. The ELL Teacher focuses instructional efforts on the development of linguistic capacity for students who are non-native speakers of English. With sensitivity to the unique needs of linguistically and culturally diverse students, as well as the rich opportunities that multilingualism and multiculturalism allow, the ELL Teacher plans and implements an instructional program that fosters learning and growth, creates a supportive learning environment that enables acquisition of skills and knowledge, and guides students toward reaching their academic, social, intellectual and physical potential.
