This is a hands-on software development role.Provide technical leadership for an agile development team, championing best practices in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD). Foster a culture of quality through developer-led automated testing initiatives. Drive continuous improvement in SDLC, agile and DevOps processes using key performance indicators, including DORA metrics, to enhance team efficiency and software delivery.Lead design, planning and estimation discussions within the team and with partners from across the department along with business stakeholders.Conduct high-level system analysis and architecture design, ensuring alignment with business requirements, technical standards and the overall architecture blueprint. Facilitate requirement gathering and translate complex business needs into technical specifications.Oversee the creation and maintenance of project and technical documentation.Identify and mitigate risks throughout the SDLC, proposing solutions to complex problems.Utilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation.Oversee production support processes, collaborating with operations and business stakeholders. Analyze issue patterns to drive improvements. Guide documentation efforts, maintain on-call rotations and lead post-mortems. The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities.Responsibilities:Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals as well as identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvementsResolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standardsProvide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprintUtilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementationDevelop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goalsProvide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutionsServe as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessaryAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.Recommended Qualifications:6-10 years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis roleExtensive experience system analysis and in programming of software applicationsExperience in managing and implementing successful projectsSubject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications DevelopmentAbility to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictateDemonstrated leadership and project management skillsConsistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communicationEducation:Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experienceMaster’s degree preferredThis job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
