Through strong financial stewardship and insight you will lead a complex accounting and finance department with multiple revenue streams that blend of partnership accounting, project accounting, and financial planning responsibilities in one role. This finance leader will report directly to the VP of Operations and will collaborate closely with project leaders, operations, and executive leadership. The Accounting and Finance Manager will lead a full range of activities including accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash / treasury, payroll, month-end close, and forward-looking financial planning. Primary Responsibilities Lead monthly and annual close processes in accordance with GAAP, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting Oversee project and partnership accounting activities, including revenue recognition, cost tracking, and financial analysis Partner with leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning initiatives Provide actionable insights through variance analysis and financial modeling to guide business decisions Supervise and develop accounting staff, fostering technical growth, accountability, and process improvement Strengthen internal controls, optimize accounting workflows, and support continuous improvement initiatives Coordinate audits and ensure compliance with regulatory and reporting requirements Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, project management, and leadership teams to enhance financial transparency Support system implementations or enhancements related to accounting and financial reporting tools Preferred Experience and Qualifications Brings experience as an Accounting Manager, Finance Manager, or Accounting Supervisor within a project-based or professional services environment Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and partnership accounting concepts Experience working closely with executive leadership to support strategic decision-making Demonstrates the ability to mentor and develop team members while improving processes and systems Comfortable navigating multiple priorities in a collaborative, fast-moving environment Background in industries such as architecture, engineering, consulting, real estate, or similar sectors is highly valued Brings a mindset focused on growth, continuous improvement, and driving organizational impact Benefits and Compensation Competitive base salary with performance-based incentives Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage Retirement savings plan with employer contribution Flexible hybrid work environment supporting work-life balance Generous paid time off and holiday schedule Opportunity to grow into broader leadership such as Assistant Controller or Controller track Professional development support including certifications, training, and career advancement opportunities If you are an Accounting and Finance Manager who wants to make an impact, grow your career, and partner with a passionate, purpose-driven team, connect with an LHH Recruiter today to learn more.
