Cabinet/Millwork Installation Assistant Manager

Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Millwork Installation Assistant Manager to guide our installation team and bring our custom millwork to life in the field. In this role, you will oversee the installation of detailed, high‑end components, ensuring every project meets our exacting standards while coaching and supporting your team to deliver excellence. What You’ll Be Doing Assume the responsibilities of the Installation Manager in their absence. Coordinate schedules with the General Contractor to ensure job‑site readiness. Direct installers concerning issues and occurrences in the field. Ensure Installation Daily Reports are accurate and timely. Ensure all General Contractor subcontractor meetings are attended. Enforce OSHA compliance procedures and maintain required documentation. Maintain strict adherence to quality assurance standards (zero punch lists). Ensure compliance with installation targeted hours and dollars per project. Complete turnover schedules. Communicate with the Installation Manager before making staffing decisions. Collaborate with Purchasing to order and maintain adequate levels of installation supplies. Maintain the installation department’s tool and equipment inventory and ensure items are returned in good working order. Conduct staff evaluations, motivate and lead a high‑performing team, and provide constructive feedback. What Makes You a Great Fit Minimum eight (8) years of installation experience (commercial highly preferred). Prior experience leading teams. Comprehensive knowledge of contract documents, architectural millwork, and installation techniques. Education in industry standards set by the Architectural Woodwork Institute. Proficiency with personal computer and software applications (Word, Excel, e‑mail). Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and ability to travel nationally when required. Job Details Salary: $33 – $41 hourly, commensurate with experience. Job Type: Full‑time, Monday to Friday. Hours vary based on business needs, with expectation of additional hours as required.
