Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the physical integrity of the apartment community and ensuring that residents receive exceptional service. This role performs a variety of maintenance tasks, including repairs, preventative maintenance, and apartment make-readies, while helping maintain a safe, clean, and attractive property.

The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and experienced in apartment maintenance or related trades.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Perform general maintenance repairs including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, carpentry, drywall, and painting work.
• Prepare vacant apartment homes for new residents through inspections and make-ready processes.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on community equipment and building systems.
• Maintain common areas, amenities, and exterior property conditions.
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues and determine effective repair solutions.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of completed work orders and maintenance activities.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies, if required.

Qualifications

Required

• Previous apartment maintenance, facilities maintenance, or related experience.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, and general maintenance practices.
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Preferred

• EPA Certification preferred.
• CAMT, CPO, or other industry certifications are a plus.
• Experience with apartment make-readies and multifamily housing maintenance.
• Previous experience working in residential or multifamily communities.

Work Environment

• Indoor and outdoor work in a multifamily housing environment.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Exposure to maintenance equipment, tools, and varying weather conditions.
• Regular interaction with residents, vendors, and onsite team members.
