Production Technician

Responsibilities Operate a simple line/machine/palletizer or support operating a production line for hygiene products, manufacturing according to fixed specifications and Standard Operating Procedures. As a member of the shift team, be responsible for the performance of the machine. Work 10-12 hour rotating shifts. Work within Essity safety standards with a responsibility for others. Operate process and equipment efficiently and be accountable for the performance of your equipment. Apply necessary standards to keep the process under control; develop standards (CL, CIL, PM, OPL, WPS, etc.) through observation to gain deep understanding of the equipment. Troubleshoot stops in a structured way using available tools (POS, BDE, etc.). Understand operation and equipment; perform CIL (Clean, Inspect, Lubricate) tasks and simple maintenance. Lead changeovers; order and prepare raw materials and install them on the machine per SOPs. Maintain effective communication with previous/next shifts and other personnel involved in running the machine. Maintain optimal housekeeping and ensure product quality by regularly checking against specifications, rejecting or blocking if necessary. Complete all required documentation and data files during production. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education: High School or GED required. Experience: 1 year of related experience. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to effectively train others and display effective conflict resolution skills. Strong machine and process knowledge; effective facilitation and leadership by example. Ability to support safety enablers and initiatives in a positive manner. Display behaviors and attitudes consistent with ESSITY core values. Location Onsite position supporting the manufacturing site located in Bowling Green, KY.
