Job Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join a primary care team in Sterling, Massachusetts. This opportunity is ideal for a patient-focused provider who enjoys building long-term patient relationships, managing chronic conditions, and delivering comprehensive, preventive care in a collaborative healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, patient-centered primary care services.

• Conduct health assessments, diagnose and treat common illnesses, and manage chronic conditions.

• Perform physical examinations and provide preventive screenings and health education.

• Develop treatment plans and prescribe medications within the scope of practice.

• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.

• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and population health programs.

• Perform minor procedures and respond appropriately to medical emergencies.

• Follow clinical protocols, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.

Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.

• Active Massachusetts NP or PA license, required by the start date.

• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in primary care.

• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

• Active DEA registration.

• Experience providing longitudinal patient care and managing chronic conditions.

• Knowledge of quality improvement, population health, and disease management programs.

• Strong communication, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills.

• Ability to provide two professional references.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Spanish bilingual proficiency.

• Experience with Athenahealth (Athena EMR)
