Diesel Mechanic

Job Description\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Windstar Lines is Hiring Diesel Mechanics\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Get Paid for Your Experience\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n What You'll Do\n \n \n \n Maintain and repair late-model motorcoaches, buses, trucks, tractors, trailers, and other fleet equipment\n Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, oil changes, and tune-ups\n Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, HVAC, electrical systems, exhaust, and safety systems\n Use computer diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical issues\n Repair or replace components including brake pads, belts, water pumps, and transmissions\n Perform test drives to ensure safe and proper vehicle operation\n Complete repairs based on driver write-ups and maintenance schedules\n Assist with parts and general shop/facility maintenance\n \n \n \n \n \n Compensation and Benefits\n \n \n \n Hourly pay:\n \n $26 - $55/hour, based on experience\n \n Weekly pay:\n \n $1,040 - $2,200+/week, based on experience\n \n Are you a top-tier candidate?\n \n Potentially earn $2,396/week\n \n Flexible work schedule may be available\n 401(k) with company match\n Health, dental, and vision insurance\n HSA and FSA options\n Paid time off\n Retirement plan\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Physical Requirements\n \n \n \n Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation\n Must be able to frequently lift, carry, and position tools or equipment components weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted\n Must pass a pre-employment drug screen\n Comfortable working around mechanical equipment, fumes, vibration, and elevated noise levels\n \n \n \n \n \n Education, Experience, and Certification Requirements\n \n \n \n At least 3 years of related experience and/or training\n High school diploma or equivalent\n Vocational/technical training or apprenticeship preferred\n Strong mechanical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills\n Ability to read service and repair manuals\n Experience with computer diagnostic equipment\n Strong work ethic and ability to work independently\n Must possess and maintain a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) within 90 days of employment\n \n \n \n \n \n About Windstar Lines Inc\n \n \n \n \n Windstar Lines is a family-owned-and-operated charter bus company that began in 1995 with one simple goal in mind: to provide superior charter motorcoach service, with meticulously clean, late-model equipment, and drivers who are safe, friendly, and above all, accommodating to our passengers' needs.\n \n \n \n \n Call Us Today\n \n View phone number on click.appcast.io\n
