Diesel MechanicDynamic Transit is seeking a career-minded Diesel Mechanic to work in our Hazelwood shop. This person would be responsible for upkeep and maintenance of class 8 tractor tailers.ResponsibilitiesPerform general inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on X15 engines, clutches, transmissions, air conditioning and electrical systems, brake systems, and APUsReview repair work orders and discuss work with supervisorsCommunicate with managers or drivers to obtain descriptions of vehicle problemsWork in a safe and professional mannerEnsure cleanliness of shop and surrounding areasQualificationsMust have own toolsStrong work ethic and pride in workmanshipReliable and self-motivatedTechnical problem-solving skillsExperience with engine replacements is preferred but not required.Must be able to meet physical requirements of the position (lifting excess of 80 lbs, bending, climbing, and standing for duration of a work shift)High school diploma or GED required; technical education highly desired.ASE Certification preferred but not requiredBenefitsMedical, Dental, Vision and other supplemental insurancesAccrued vacation401k PlansProfit SharingWeekly PayCompany Provided UniformsJob Security + Growth Opportunities + Paid Training
