Urgent Care Physician Assistant

NP/PA Urgent Care Provider Locums Martinsburg, WV Urgent Care ASAP / Ongoing Coverage WPA Medicine Staffing is seeking a Board-Certified NP or PA for an ongoing urgent care opportunity beginning ASAP. This assignment provides coverage across multiple urgent care sites in the Martinsburg, Hanover, and New Oxford areas, with providers working independently and seeing patients of all ages, including pediatrics ages 6 months and older. Assignment Highlights Start Date: ASAP Coverage Type: Ongoing locums coverage Providers Needed: 2 FTEs Schedule: Monday Sunday, 8:00 AM 8:00 PM Setting: Urgent Care Experience: Minimum 1 year overall experience; 2+ years urgent care or 1+ year emergency medicine experience required Patient Population: All ages, including pediatrics 6 months+ Work Model: Solo provider; must be comfortable working independently Average Volume: 3 4 patients per hour EMR: Epic Travel: Mileage, lodging, rental car/fuel, and airfare covered Clinical Scope Providers will treat typical urgent care presentations including cold and flu symptoms, rashes, abrasions, sprains, minor burns, and other low-acuity complaints. Providers should be comfortable performing suturing, wound care/I&Ds, splinting, and other orthopedic procedures . Higher-acuity patients will be referred to the local emergency department. Medical assistants and radiology technicians are onsite. Sites may be staffed with 1 3 providers per day. Site Coverage Providers will travel between the Martinsburg, Hanover, and New Oxford locations. The sites are within approximately 30 miles of one another. Requirements Board Certified NP or PA Active WV medical license DEA and WV CSR BLS, ACLS, and PALS Minimum 1 year clinical experience Minimum 2 years urgent care experience OR minimum 1 year emergency medicine experience Comfortable treating patients of all ages, including pediatrics 6 months+ Comfortable with orthopedic procedures, including splinting Comfortable with wound care and I&Ds Must be willing and able to work independently without onsite supervision Required Clinical Skills for Presentation Please indicate the candidate's comfort level with each of the following when submitting: Suturing/Wound Care/I&Ds: Comfortable / Not Comfortable Splinting: Comfortable / Not Comfortable X-Rays/EKGs: Comfortable / Not Comfortable Drawing Blood/IVs: Comfortable / Not Comfortable Working Independently: Comfortable / Not Comfortable Pediatrics: Comfortable / Not Comfortable Why WPA Medicine Staffing?
