Title ClerkLocation: 90 Havana St, Aurora, CO 80010Employment Type: Full TimePosition Type: HourlyPay Starting at: $21.00 - $31.00The job posting will be available until September 15, 2026Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe Title Clerk provides clerical support by processing and filing Title paperwork to establish ownership of vehicles being purchased or sold for the Schomp Automotive Group.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, as assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Work and process at least 20 Titles per day.Obtain duplicate titles from the State of Colorado.Punctual and regular attendance.Check-in new vehicle Certificates of Origin (Titles), record stock numbers and file appropriately.May provide processing and accounting entries for vehicle acquisition into dealer inventory.May execute accurate review of vehicle acquisition checklists to validate payments to clients for purchased vehicles.Call to research Titles not received from Customers and Lienholders, document all research.Apply for duplicate Titles from the State of Colorado.Answer incoming phone calls from customers, lenders, and other Schomp employees regarding Title status.Assist with answering Titling questions received by email.Perform all titling functions by following company-approved processing procedures.Responsible for customer data privacy; keeping computers and files protected.Notify manager of problem Titles; follow-up on all out-standing Title issues.Practice safe work habits, and follow the company's safety policies.Perform other duties as may be assigned by management.Assists in coaching and training the title team on the following: Processing courtesy deliveries and plates & registration for "Company" vehicles in Colorado.Adhere to the Company's Core Values of Competitive, Consistent, Adaptable, Respectful and Empathetic.Job Required Skills and KnowledgePossess a working knowledge of cash, retail and finance sale/title packets.Must maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude in all that we do.Demonstrate high character and integrity.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to process plates and registration for company vehicles.Ability to process "Courtesy Delivery" transactions and the required plates and registrations.Working knowledge of both State and Country processing and tax collections.Must maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude in all that we do.Must maintain a professional appearance and provide friendly customer service.Maintain effective team member relations.Ability to maintain emotional control in stressful situations.Contribute to building a positive team spirit; support everyone's efforts to succeed.Ability to adopt and support new processes and changes to help in employee and customer satisfaction.Must maintain a clean, safe working environment at all times.Organization skills and time management.Possess outstanding work ethic.Education, Experience and CertificationMust possess and maintain a valid driver license.Must possess and maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).Physical DemandsAbility to speak clearly so listeners can understand, as well as the ability to understand the speech of another person.Adequate physical ability including sufficient manual dexterity to operate computers, phones, copy machines, various office equipment, and the Company vehicle in order to perform the requisite job functions.Visual acuity to see details of objects that are less than a few feet away.Visual acuity to see details of objects that are more than a few feet away.Must be able to sit or stand in a stationary position for extended periods of time.Requires frequent reaching, bending, repetitive hand movements, twisting, standing, walking, sitting, squatting, pushing, and pulling exerted regularly throughout a regular work shift.Requires occasional lifting and carrying items weighing up to 30 pounds unassisted.Regular, punctual attendance is required.Work EnvironmentThis position operates in a professional dealership environment.Full-time position Monday-Friday scheduled for core business hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM; evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.Must maintain a clean, safe working environment at all times.
