Event Staff

Overview Team members are classified based on individual theatre needs and employee availability as variable hour, part-time fixed, part-time regular or full-time hourly employees. Their primary responsibility is ensuring guests receive exceptional service. Team members may be scheduled to work in the Box Office, Concession Stand, or as an Usher. They must act as a representative of Regal in a way consistent with our mission statement and policies, including regular and consistent attendance, handling emergency situations, general cleaning duties, and complying with the company dress code. Essential Duties and Responsibilities For each position, responsibilities include but are not limited to: Box Office Operating POS system, accurately handling cash drawer, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards and redeemed discount tickets, passes and coupons. Upselling/suggestive selling of Premium Viewing Experience (3D, RPX, IMAX). Promoting the Regal Crown Club program. Ensuring tickets are sold in accordance with the MPAA rating system and company policy. Responding to phone calls and questions from guests in a manner consistent with our guest service philosophy. Concession Operating POS system, accurately handling cash drawer, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards and redeemed coupons, and managing concession stock inventory. Promoting the Regal Crown Club program. Operating, preparing and cleaning all concession related equipment. Upselling/suggestive selling. Complying with all local, state and federal food safety laws. Abiding by all federal and state laws regarding breaks and/or meal periods. Ensuring required alcohol certification and training are current where applicable. Ensuring legal compliance with alcohol sales and service if applicable. Reading and understanding training materials on sexual harassment and discrimination. Usher Tearing tickets, collecting and depositing appropriate stubs, and directing patrons to their auditoriums. Inspecting backpacks and packages when applicable. Managing crowd control and assisting guests in finding seats in auditoriums when necessary. Enforcing the MPAA rating system. Conducting theatre inspections to monitor picture and sound quality, watch for film and content theft, and maintain a safe quality environment. Reporting problems, discrepancies or unusual situations to management. Performing in‑auditorium concession auxiliary sales as directed. Cleaning auditoriums after shows and maintaining clean restrooms, lobby area, hallways and other areas outside the auditorium. Monitoring cleanliness and operation of theatre vending equipment. Assisting with all opening and closing duties as assigned by management. Pay Scale Information [$15 per hour] Benefits Team members enjoy free movie passes and discounted concessions at any Regal location. Education/Experience Completion of the cast certification program as a cast member and as a box office cashier or progress towards completion required. Language Ability Good public speaking skills, effective listening, and clear, direct response ability. Math Ability Perform calculations quickly and accurately, identify and correct errors. Reasoning Ability Identify problems, gather relevant data, note possible causes, evaluate alternatives, reach conclusions based on evidence, take action beyond necessary, and perform under pressure and/or opposition. Physical Demands Frequent standing, walking, sitting and use of hands to handle or feel; reaching, talking, hearing. Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling.
