Alpine Care of Zion, a respected healthcare organization, is seeking a compassionate and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team in providing exceptional care to our patients. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our nursing department, ensuring high-quality patient care, and fostering a positive work environment for our staff. Director of Nursing (DON) Responsibilities: Oversee the daily operations of the nursing department, including developing and implementing policies and procedures Provide strategic leadership to the nursing team, promoting a culture of excellence and accountability Ensure high-quality patient care, adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements Foster strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals Develop and manage budgets, monitoring expenses and identifying areas for cost savings Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination and communication Identify and address quality improvement opportunities, implementing evidence-based practices to enhance patient outcomes Recruit, develop, and retain talented nursing staff, providing coaching and mentoring when needed Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and industry best practices Director of Nursing (DON) Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field (Master's degree preferred) Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role, with a strong background in nursing administration Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Illinois Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to make informed decisions Commitment to patient-centered care, quality improvement, and staff development What We Offer: Competitive wages ($65 - $72 per hour) Tuition reimbursement.
