About the Role Our client, a prominent sports organization in Welkom , is seeking a proactive and organized Sports Facilities Coordinator . This role is essential for the seamless operation and maintenance of various sports venues, ensuring they are safe, functional, and ready for events and training sessions. You will manage scheduling, oversee maintenance activities, coordinate with external vendors, and ensure compliance with safety standards across all facilities in the Free State region. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses excellent logistical skills, and has a passion for sports and facility management. Key Responsibilities Coordinate the scheduling of all sports facilities, including fields, courts, and arenas, for training, matches, and events. Oversee the routine maintenance, cleaning, and repair of sports facilities and equipment. Manage relationships with external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance or repairs. Ensure all facilities meet safety regulations and implement preventative safety measures. Maintain an inventory of facility supplies and equipment, managing procurement as needed. Liaise with sports teams, event organizers, and internal departments to meet facility requirements. Requirements Proven experience in facility coordination, event management, or operations, preferably within a sports context. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Familiarity with sports facility requirements and maintenance best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, often with flexible hours.
