Primary Purpose & Function: The purpose of this role is to work with the clients of Simply Bee by conducting comprehensive assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and providing outpatient therapy while collaborating with families and other care providers to ensure continuity of care. In addition to delivering clinical services in accordance with ethical standards and organizational expectations, the Sports Performance Consultant serves as a subject matter expert in sport and mental performance by developing specialized programming, educational content, and consultation services that support Simply Bee's Counseling, Consulting, and Community departments. This position also provides opportunities for ongoing professional growth and development.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Social Work, Clinical Counseling or related field (required)
• Must be eligible to sit for first level licensure exam (LPC, LSW, ALMFT) within 6 months of employment
• One or more years professional experience working in counseling, social work, or related fields (preferred)
• Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) credential or comparable certification, specialized training, or education in sport and performance psychology/mental performance (preferred)
• Previous experience in Higher Level or Care Setting (preferred)
• Previous experience working with children and adolescents (preferred)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Creative in content creation through graphic images and other teaching materials
• A conceptual thinker who understands how to transmit subject matter into the Growth and Resiliency Model ©

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Observe and document client reactions, progress, or other outcomes related to mental health and sports performance. Gather client information from sources such as case documentation, client observation, or interviews of client or family members.
• Responsible for conducting individual assessments and thoroughly documenting initial assessments, and ongoing outpatient therapy sessions
• In charge of evaluation and development of treatment plans for clients, preparation of discharge summaries and continuing care plans
• Create a family engagement plan upon admission for each minor client
• Complete weekly clinical charting notes/forms every Friday before midnight in EMR platform
• Reinforce clinical services and staff adherence to the practice’s standards, values, and quality of care
• Exhibit competency behaviors of the following: informally collaborate in the office with team members, friendly engagement in the office to support our hive culture, and contribute to the hive mind with knowledge and expertise
• Review research or literature in their area of expertise, psychology, or related disciplines.
• Participate in project meetings and meet deadlines in creating new programs to support the consultation, community and product departments.
• Customize curriculum for specific client populations using the Growth and Resiliency Model©.
• Attend and Facilitate events, workshops, and video presentations, for client groups and the general community
• Complete weekly communication tracker for family engagement and chartnote
• Complete weekly communication tracker for all external providers and chartnote
• Participate in mandatory staffing meetings and lead treatment staffing of current cases
• Complete requested administrative information such as timesheet, calendar management, drive organization, etc.
• Participate in communication platforms such as Outlook or Microsoft Teams
• Respond to emails in a timely manner, consistent with organizational expectations.
• Demonstrate the ability to provide family therapy in a professional and timely manner.
• Demonstrate the ability to document family sessions timely and accurately as it relates to the treatment plan.
• Demonstrate the ability to document all encounters with the family in the medical record in a timely and professional manner.
• Demonstrate the ability to conduct group sessions with clients/patients in a professional manner.
• Demonstrate the ability to engage the clients/patients in the group process.
• Demonstrate the ability to document the group encounter in a timely and in an accurate manner and have the documentation relating to the client/patient treatment plan.

• Demonstrate the ability to document individual sessions timely and accurately as it relates to the treatment plan.
• Demonstrates knowledge and ability to coordinate referrals and make recommendations based on screening individuals who may be abused, neglected, or exploited.
• Demonstrates knowledge of mandated reporter laws, as applicable.
• Demonstrates competence and is knowledgeable about how to assess for abuse, neglect, trauma, and exploitation, as evidenced by applying proficient knowledge when using the initial screening tool, documenting thoroughly and accurately within the client's health record, and completes the screening within the timeline outlined in the policy and procedure.
• Completes the BioPsychoSocial Assessment timely and accurately (per policy standards).
• Communicates any key findings to the clinical treatment team timely and accurately.
• Mental Health Disorders: Demonstrates competence and is knowledgeable about Mental Health and psychological disorders as evidenced by applying proficient knowledge when using the BPS or LOCUS assessment and documenting thoroughly and accurately within the client's health record, and completes the screening within the timeline outlined in the policy and procedure.
• Suicide Risk Assessment: Demonstrates competence in ability to screen and assesses for risky and harmful behaviors, cognitive impairment, mental health problems, behaviors that compromise health, harm to self or others, and abuse, neglect, exploitation, and domestic violence.
• Creates and implements integrated treatment plans, whole health, and wellness recovery plans.
• Demonstrates effective ability to conceptualize treatment care plans that considered the holistic health of the clients.
• Demonstrates the ability to develop a treatment plan that integrates the goals and problems identified during the client initial assessment.
• Demonstrates the ability to update treatment plans, as indicated, in both a timely and thorough manner that considers the individual’s needs.
• Matches the type and intensity of services to clients' need throughout the continuum of care.
• Demonstrates competence and is knowledgeable about adolescent developmental milestones, as evidenced by applying proficient knowledge when using the assessment tool, documenting thoroughly and accurately within the client's health record, and completes the screening within the timeline outlined in the policy and procedure.
