What’s In It For You Competitive Compensation Package: Base Salary ($110k‑130k) plus medical, dental insurance, 401(k), mileage reimbursement, and more Professional Growth: Opportunities to expand your skills and advance in a growing company Impact: See your designs come to life in projects that enhance how people enjoy their homes Stability: Work for a family‑owned and operated company that has been around since 1982 Key Responsibilities Perform on‑site measurements of existing project conditions Produce permit‑ready and construction‑ready drawings Develop elevations, details, and technical documents for build teams Revise plans as necessary for permitting and approvals Stay current with Illinois building codes and local permitting requirements Stamp plans and collaborate with permitting officials as needed Work closely with carpenters and internal teams to ensure accurate build documentation Conduct site visits during construction, if required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Design, Fine Arts, or related field; Master’s degree in Architecture preferred 3+ years as a licensed Architect with the ability to stamp plans (must be licensed in Illinois) Expert proficiency in AutoCAD and intermediate proficiency in SketchUp (preferred) Working knowledge of MS365 (Word, Excel, Outlook) Strong knowledge of Illinois building codes and the permitting process Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage a high volume of projects simultaneously Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and reliable vehicle Equal Opportunity Employer Erdmann Outdoor Living is an Equal Opportunity Employer and welcomes diverse perspectives, backgrounds, and ideas.
