Erdmann Outdoor Living is seeking a skilled Architect with a strong technical background in drafting, permitting, and construction documentation. In this role, you'll be responsible for producing accurate plans, ensuring compliance with codes, and supporting our team in delivering high-quality outdoor living projects, including decks, patios, kitchens, and more.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform on-site measurements of existing project conditions
• Produce permit-ready and construction-ready drawings
• Develop elevations, details, and technical documents for build teams
• Revise plans as necessary for permitting and approvals
• Stay current with Illinois building codes and local permitting requirements
• Stamp plans and collaborate with permitting officials as needed
• Work closely with carpenters and internal teams to ensure accurate build documentation
• Conduct site visits during construction, if required

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Design, Fine Arts, or related field, Master's degree in Architecture preferred
• 3+ years as a licensed Architect with the ability to stamp plans (must be licensed in
• Expert proficiency in AutoCAD and intermediate proficiency in SketchUp (preferred)
• Working knowledge of MS365 (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong knowledge of Illinois building codes and the permitting process
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage a high volume of projects simultaneously
• Valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and reliable vehicle
