Performance Creative Designer

Primer is a performance-creative agency. We build the ads that drive real results for our clients: static, video, and UGC for paid social on Meta and TikTok, backed by strategy, media, and landing-page work. We operate in pods (creative strategists, designers, and production managers working a shared book of clients) and we move fast, iterate constantly, and let performance data tell us what to make next. The Role We're hiring a Performance Creative Designer to produce paid-media assets across a range of client accounts. You'll turn creative briefs into scroll-stopping static ads, video edits, and UGC cuts that are built to test and built to perform. You'll work inside a pod alongside creative strategists and production managers, own your slice of the production load, and grow into a leadership role on the design team over time. This is an entry-to-mid-level role with a real path forward. You'll start by executing your own assets to a high bar and giving teammates a reliable second set of eyes. As you learn our accounts and standards, you'll grow into quality oversight and leadership: owning QA across more accounts and helping guide other designers. What You'll Do Produce assigned paid-social assets (static ads, video edits, UGC cuts, and supporting graphics) on-brief and on-deadline across multiple client accounts. Build variations at volume designed for testing: hooks, formats, lengths, and lead-ins that give media something to learn from. Interpret briefs independently. Ask sharp clarifying questions before you start, and capture the intent without needing the strategist to rewrite. Apply each client's brand system (typography, color, voice, logo usage) consistently and from memory once you've learned it. Self-QA every asset against brief, brand, copy, and spec before handoff, and follow Primer's file-naming, format, and folder conventions on every account. Give teammates a dependable second set of eyes before their work goes to a strategist or client, and flag what you catch. Keep your work status current in our project tracker, and flag capacity or blockers early, before deadlines are at risk. Use AI tools (image generation, mockups, asset cleanup) as part of your everyday workflow, and bring new approaches to the team. Where This Role Can Grow This is a role we want someone to grow within. As you build a track record of strong, on-brief work and sound judgment, the path opens toward design leadership: Quality oversight: owning QA across a widening set of client accounts, with the standing to hold the bar before work reaches a strategist or client. Broader client ownership: carrying more accounts, and becoming the designer a pod relies on to set the standard. Guiding other designers: mentoring newer team members, sharing craft and workflow improvements, and helping raise the whole team's output. We'll be clear about what earning that growth looks like, and we'll invest in getting you there. What You Bring Required 2+ years in performance creative, paid-social design, or a closely adjacent in-house or agency role. Strong entry-level candidates with a standout paid-social portfolio will be considered. A portfolio of paid-social work across both static and motion formats. Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). Video editing in Premiere or CapCut, and comfort with basic motion work (After Effects a plus). Comfort editing and assembling UGC. A working understanding of what makes a direct-response ad perform on Meta and TikTok. Comfort using AI tools in a design workflow.
