Groundskeeper

Maintenance TechnicianJob Purpose:To cut grass, trim, edge and clean grass areas, patios, sidewalks and roadways. To help maintenance staff with painting, transporting and minor maintenance repairs.Salary Range: $16.00–$24.00 per hourEssential Functions:• Cut grass on approximately 50 acres of Charlotte Hall Veterans Home using lawn mower, tractors and string trimmers• To clean all areas around the outside of the buildings• To help paint the exterior items and equipment around the Facility and grounds area• To perform minor maintenance repairs• Operate tractors for grass cutting and snow removal• Perform duties required to meet emergencies and special occasions such as fire, storms, power outages, water breaks• Responsible for knowing locations and general operation of critical equipment and systems• Must be able to work effectively and harmoniously with residents, visitors and co-workers• Perform other related assignments as required.Qualifications:• Must be high school or vocational graduate• Must have 2 years experience in general maintenance field.Family Makes Us Stronger.
