Director of Legal Operations

Be part of the foundational team of a growing law firm with two offices in the Central Valley as a Director of Operations. This role will help keep the legal team running smoothly day to day, with a focus on improving workflows, ensuring cases move efficiently, keeping teams aligned, and supporting attorneys so they can stay focused on their work.

You’ll be working with a stable, tenured team and partnering closely with HR, Finance, and IT, while remaining focused on day-to-day legal operations

The Role:

• Oversee day-to-day legal operations across both offices
• Work closely with attorneys, case managers, intake, and admin staff to keep cases progressing
• Identify bottlenecks, gaps, or inefficiencies and help fix them
• Track basic performance metrics (case timelines, caseloads, client service, etc.) and flag issues early
• Build and maintain simple, clear workflows and procedures for the team
• Support implementation and use of tools like case management systems
• Partner with leadership on operational improvements, staffing needs, and growth planning
• Act as a point of contact between attorneys and operations to keep everyone aligned

Qualifications:

• Experience in operations, ideally within a law firm
• Master's degree in business administration strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of litigation case flow
• Someone who is organized, practical, and solutions-oriented
• Comfortable working across teams and communicating with attorneys
• Experience improving processes or scaling operations is a plus
