Family Practice/Primary Care Physician Assistant

A community-focused healthcare organization in the Bay Area is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to provide primary medical care through a school-based mobile health setting.

Position Highlights:

• Provide primary care through a school-based mobile health setting
• Perform comprehensive examinations, evaluations, diagnosis and treatment
• Manage acute and chronic health concerns while addressing prevention and health promotion
• Provide follow-up care, health education and coordination of specialty services
• Order referrals, laboratory testing and diagnostic studies as clinically appropriate
• Educate patients and families on preventive care, diagnoses and treatment plans
• Maintain accurate, confidential electronic medical records
• Work independently while collaborating with physicians and other clinical staff
• Participate in health education, prevention and community outreach programs
• Contribute to quality assurance, peer review and continuous improvement initiatives
• Participate in staff training, workshops and professional development
• Local travel between sites may be required, with occasional travel for events
• Opportunity to serve patients in a community-based, mobile care environment

Qualifications:

• Current California Physician Assistant license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification
• Bachelor s degree in a health-related field preferred
• At least 1 year of directly related experience preferred
• Community or public health experience preferred
• State Office of Family Planning Certificate if working in a family planning program
• Reliable transportation
• Strong clinical judgment, communication and collaboration skills

• $155,750 $180,565 annual salary
