We need a leader who can balance technical expertise with top-tier people management to keep our trucks safe, compliant, and ready for the road.## **The Mission**As our Maintenance Manager II, you aren’t just supervising repairs; you are the architect of uptime. You will lead a dedicated team of technicians and support staff, ensuring that our maintenance programs are executed with precision and that safety is never compromised.## **Key Responsibilities (The Heavy Lifting):*** **Lead the Crew:** Mentor and develop your shop team. You’ll be responsible for scheduling, performance management, and fostering a culture of excellence.* **Command the Shop:** Direct all maintenance activities, from routine PMs to major overhauls, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to the highest standards.* **Safety Champion:** Own the safety culture in the shop. Conduct training, enforce PPE standards, and ensure every bolt is tightened and every inspection is perfect.* **Operational Synergy:** Work hand-in-hand with the Operations team to prioritize equipment repairs and minimize downtime for our routes.* **Inventory & Vendor Mastery:** Manage parts inventory and build strong relationships with external vendors to keep the supplies flowing and costs in check.* **Compliance Expert:** Ensure all fleet records and shop operations meet DOT, OSHA, and environmental regulations.## **What You Bring to the Table:*** **The Foundation:** High School Diploma or GED (Required).* **The Credentials:** DOT certification for air brake inspection and a valid CDL (or the drive to get one within 6 months).* **The Experience:** Substantial supervisory experience in a heavy-duty truck maintenance environment.
