Maintenance Technician-MechanicalLocation: GM, Grand RapidsJob Type: On-siteReports to: Maintenance ManagerDepartment: North American OperationsPosition Purpose: Maintain and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems for an Integrated Facilities Management Company within the scope of work to support the customer.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Demonstrates the values and business principles of Leadec.Works safely at all times.Installing, maintaining and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and equipment.Perform routine maintenance on facilities management equipment based upon scope of work outlined by the client.Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.Maintain accurate maintenance logs and reports for all equipment and fixtures.Collaborate with Management to ensure equipment meets operational requirements.Assist in the installation of new and existing equipment.Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards.Adhering to and supporting all EHS and Quality objectives, in accordance with ISO 14001, 45001 and 9001 respectively.All other duties as assigned by Leadec manager.Competencies:Managing TasksOpen CommunicationSelf-ManagementKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Communication Skills - Ability to communicate with all levels of Leadec and customer employees.Language Ability -- Talking to others to convey information effectively.Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in a manufacturing environment.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Position Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.Technical degrees in a related field are preferred.3+ years of experience in Industrial Mechanical Maintenance.Proven experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in Facilities Management.Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.Physical Requirements:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the key actions of the job:Required to talk and/or hear in an industrial setting (noise level is moderate). Frequently required to stand and walk on concrete surfaces for 4 -12 hours.
