Lead Software Engineer, Data Analytics

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We require formal training or certification in software engineering concepts along with 5+ years of hands-on experience.
• We need practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• We are looking for advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, including Java and Python.
• We value demonstrated experience leading the effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools, with the ability to set expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• We expect a strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and resiliency and security standards.
• We need proficiency across all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• We require advanced knowledge of agile practices such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
• We seek in-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and its IT systems.
• We require practical cloud-native experience in AWS.
• Preferred experience includes working with PiSpark, MongoDB, Oracle, and Unix.
• Preferred experience includes using generative or agentic AI in design and coding.

• We design, develop, and troubleshoot creative software solutions, thinking beyond routine approaches to solve technical problems.
• We build secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others.
• We drive adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational results.
• We apply Software Development Life Cycle tools, including approved AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value delivered by automation.
• We identify opportunities to eliminate or automate recurring remediation work to strengthen the stability of our applications and systems.
• We lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectural designs, technical capabilities, and fit within our existing systems and information architecture.
