Lead Software Engineer - Python/Data

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We expect formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, along with 5+ years of applied experience in NAMR/APAC regions, or advanced applied experience in EMEA/LATAM-Brazil; Singapore follows local country guidance.
• We require hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• We need advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, including Java, Python, or Scala.
• We are looking for a strong understanding of the AWS platform, including core services, architecture best practices, and security features.
• We require extensive experience with big data technologies, including Apache Spark, for large-scale data processing and analytics.
• We value demonstrated experience leading the effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools, with the ability to set expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• We require a strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and resiliency and security expectations, plus experience coaching engineers on safe and compliant adoption.
• We expect proficiency across the full Software Development Life Cycle.
• We need advanced understanding of agile practices such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
• We require in-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and its IT systems, along with practical cloud-native experience.
• Preferred: exposure to Databricks.
• Preferred: experience with data visualization and business intelligence platforms.
• Preferred: a bachelors degree in Finance, Technology, Data Science, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.

• We create inventive software solutions, handling design, development, and technical troubleshooting with a fresh, non-routine approach.
• We develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others.
• We drive adoption of enterprise-approved AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes, while maintaining strong validation standards and promoting reusable patterns.
• We apply knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle tools, including approved AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value of automation.
• We identify opportunities to remove or automate the resolution of recurring issues to strengthen the operational stability of applications and systems.
• We lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectural designs, technical credentials, and fit within our systems and information architecture.
