Lead Software Engineer - C#, Python

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We require formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, along with 5+ years of applied experience.
• We need hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• We expect advanced proficiency in one or more object-oriented languages such as C#, Python, or Rust.
• We require database expertise across one or more SQL platforms and experience with streaming, event-driven integrations such as Kafka.
• We look for demonstrated experience leading the effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools, including setting expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• We need a strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and resiliency and security expectations.
• We require proficiency across the Software Development Life Cycle, including TDD, BDD, and evals.
• We expect advanced understanding of agile methodologies, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
• We need in-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and its IT systems.
• We require practical cloud-native security management experience in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with Elastic, PostgreSQL, or vector technologies is preferred.
• Financial services experience is also preferred.

• We execute creative software solutions through design, development, and technical troubleshooting, thinking beyond routine approaches to solve complex technical problems.
• We work as self-starters, iterating toward incremental solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• We apply our understanding of cybersecurity and regulatory control obligations within a global financial services organization.
• We develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others.
• We drive adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes.
• We establish consistent validation standards, including secure coding, peer review, automated testing, and reuse of effective patterns across the team.
• We use Software Development Life Cycle tooling, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value delivered by automation.
• We identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve the stability of software applications and systems.
• We lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectural designs, technical credentials, and fit within existing systems and information architecture.
