Manufacturing EngineerJoin a dynamic team that designs and manufactures cutting-edge Gatling guns, which are utilized by top-tier special operations. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring that designs are manufacturable, adhering to ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards. You'll also work to enhance processes, eliminate quality issues, and collaborate with suppliers to deliver conforming parts on time.ResponsibilitiesReview and assess engineering drawings for manufacturability and proper dimensioning and tolerancing.Collaborate with the design team to ensure compliance with standards.Interface with vendors and suppliers to resolve manufacturing issues.Work alongside the production and quality departments to address production, assembly, and inspection challenges.Participate in first article inspection activities and vendor audits.Engage in root-cause analyses and corrective actions for quality issues.Assist in expanding and diversifying the supply chain.Handle technical data and information in compliance with legal regulations and company policies.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a similar field.Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience in a related industry.Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D CAD software with at least 1 year of experience.Strong understanding of mechanical engineering concepts, materials, and manufacturing processes.Ability to read and create engineering drawings in accordance with ANSI Y-14 standards.Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently.Additional Skills & Qualifications15+ years of experience in military and defense-related industries.Proficiency with SolidWorks EPDM and Microsoft Office Suite.Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Standards.Experience with investment casting and post-casting machining operations.Basic knowledge of firearm mechanics.Work EnvironmentWork in a small, entrepreneurial company where autonomy and ownership are highly valued.
