Competitive benefits package available.To provide installation, repair, and other technical services to meet the technology needs of users in the Goffstown School District/SAU#19 while maintaining confidentiality of all users and district information. To assist SAU#19 toward the accomplishment of the mission as listed in the Goffstown Technology Plan.Qualifications (Skills/Experience/Training Required)Bachelor's degree and/or relevant certifications in computer related field preferred. 5+ years of relevant experience preferred, or a combination of education, training, and experience.Experience supporting end user devices including desktop, laptop, tablets, printers, and related peripherals, including software installations, troubleshooting and repair.Experience with other instructional technologies and related hardware such as digital cameras, LCD projectors, audio and video systems, etc.Ability to analyze and solve software/hardware problems with skills consistent with the A+ certification.Ability to analyze and solve network problems with skills consistent with the Network+ certification.Experience administering server systems including both MS Windows or Linux, network virtualization hypervisors, and mobile device management solutions.Experience administering and managing network infrastructure such as routers, switches, firewalls and access points using management portals such as Aruba Central or SonicWall NSM.Experience administering VOIP and IP security systems.Experience maintaining and troubleshooting connectivity issues using IEEE 802.1X compliant radius servers such as Aruba ClearPassExperience administering authentication servers including Active Directory, LDAP, and SAMLExperience working with server scripting languages such as PowerShell, Visual Basic, Shell Scripting, and Batch files.Experience with a wide variety of commercial and open-source software implementations.Experience using network diagnostic and troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark or tcpdump.Experience using network monitoring applications such as Nagios or ZabbixUnderstanding of network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, IMAP, SMTP, etc.Understanding of network segmentation and addressing including IPv4, IPv6, ACLs, VLANS, and RoutingUnderstanding of network routing and management protocols including ICMP, SNMP, OSPF, and LLDP.Ability to effectively train technology users in software/hardware use, both one-on-one and in groups.Industry/vendor certifications a plus.Strong communication and customer service skills.Effective Date: June 20, 2019Revision Date: August 26, 2026Strong team player with the ability to work independently.Ability to communicate with a variety of people, both in person and over the telephone.Ability to read various computer screens in order to solve hardware/software problems.Ability to lift computer hardware during installation and repair.Ability to drive to various schools to provide field support.Essential Job FunctionsProvide advanced (Tier 2) technical support to end users and other technology staff as necessary.Promote the effective, equitable and efficient use of technology to enhance the educational process for all students.Assist the Director of Technology in network planning and LAN/WAN and system management functions for information access, security, authorization, and connectivity.Monitor network devices to ensure network up time and availability.Install, configure, maintain, and deploy the network servers, switches, routers, and other infrastructure.Evaluate changes to current and future network requirements to meet the district's needs.Assist the Director of Technology with planning and research necessary to keep computer and other technology systems up-to-date and meeting the needs of the users (both instructional and management). This includes identifying needs, project planning, determining specifications, and recommending software/hardware systems.Manage district end user devices and software applications using an MDM platform including the packaging and distribution of software applications, updates, and security patches.Maintain district infrastructure by applying security patches and firmware on a regular basis.Maintain backups of district systems to ensure resiliency in the event of a catastrophic failure.Monitor security advisories and update systems / network infrastructure, as necessary.Maintain cybersecurity readiness and best practices based on CIS Critical Security Controls framework and the NIST 800-171 standards.Assist with the management and troubleshooting of the district IP Phone and Voicemail system including all on and off campus access to the system.Resolve end user issues with computers and devices, printers, related peripherals, and networks.Respond to problem calls related to software, equipment, or operational failures and place repair calls or take action as necessary.Operates under industry best practices and State and Federal governance.Remain current in existing and newly emerging technologies in the areas of software, hardware, networking, telecommunications, interactive video/audio technologies, and other related technologies.Coordinate the implementation of district-wide initiatives to ensure consistent and uniform application.Collaborate with other technology support personnel to ensure consistent and uniform implementations district wide.Collaborate with Educational Technology Integrator(s) to provide technology training when required.Interact and work as a cooperative team member with other Goffstown and New Boston Technology team members to promote consistencies of network solutions.Apply all aspects of the Goffstown School District Acceptable Use Policy including ethical and legal standards in planning and implementing technology maintenance and use.Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as supervisor may assign.Effective Date: June 20, 2019Revision Date: August 26, 2026Physical Activity RequirementsLift up to 10 lb.
