Registered Nurse - Inpatient Rehabilitation

Location: Ottumwa, IA

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 07:00 - 19:00

Job Description: The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive care to adult and geriatric patients in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. This role focuses on rehabilitation for patients with various conditions, including neuro, trauma, and burn injuries.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver patient-centered nursing care in accordance with established standards and protocols.
• Monitor patient progress and perform assessments to inform treatment plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Assist in gait training and strengthening exercises.
• Utilize lift equipment to safely assist patients.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Current Iowa RN License.
• Minimum of 1 year of acute care experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• Mandatory reporter certification for child and adult abuse required.
• All background checks must be cleared prior to start, including criminal and child abuse checks.
• 10-panel drug screening required, including opiates.
• Titers for MMR, Hep B, Varicella, and TB within the last 12 months required.
