Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with routine workplace safety risk assessments, investigations, inspections and document findings.
• Interpret regulatory requirements with assistance.
• Coordinate and manage EHS training activities and track training completion.
• Support EHS Professional in the maintenance of EHS procedures within the EHS Management System.
• Support EHS Professional with coordinating emergency response teams, drills, and preparedness activities.
• Participate and help facilitate leading safety committees, Safety Champion programs, and employee engagement activities.
• Contribute to environmental programs, including waste management and recycling initiatives.
• Maintain SDS records and support chemical management programs.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate in English.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to contribute effectively in a team environment.
• Working knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements, with the ability to read, interpret, and apply regulatory standards.
• Ability to monitor, track, and communicate progress toward established goals and objectives.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to interpret technical information and apply requirements to ensure compliance within the workplace.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining positive and professional working relationships across the organization.
• Ability to work flexible schedules and shifts as business needs require.
• Ability to perform duties in office, laboratory, manufacturing, warehouse, and outdoor environments as needed.
• Attain and maintain required hazardous materials and hazardous waste certifications in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.
• Support compliance with applicable environmental, health, safety, and transportation regulations.

Education Required:

• Minimum: Associate's degree in EHS discipline, or related-based degree.

Education Preferred:

• S. degree in EHS; Occupational Health, Environmental Management or related discipline.
• OSHA 30 Hour.

Experience Required:

• Level I: 0-3 years' experience.
• This is an entry level position.
