Job Description MS NOW is looking for an experienced Digital Producer for The Weeknight. This position is represented by the Writers Guild of America East. Responsibilities: Produce, develop, create, and edit social media content, including text, photo, and video for multiple platforms Work as editor with hosts and senior producers to develop and refine editorial tone and voice Identify compelling moments from the broadcast to rapidly share on social media platforms (vertical videos) Responsible for growing audience engagement and interaction online and broadcast Edit content from the show to be repackaged for off-network/social platforms/OTT Manage all social distribution Research, write articles, and blog posts as needed Innovate and propose new ways to extend the show and brand Speedy decision-making and quick reactions to newsworthy/fresh topics Work on content for digital platforms, social media and MS NOW’s DTC products Produce and manage the show podcast Deliver digital content to sponsor page Comply with the Standards and Practices of MS NOW Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Minimum 5 years of social media producing or editorial experience Minimum 2 years of experience in writing Familiarity with television and digital production proceduresStrong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work well both independently (must be a self-starter) and collaboratively as part of an integrated team Strong follow-through and attention to detail Desired Qualifications: Possess ability to develop story ideas, research, and plan segments Knowledge of current events, politics, and pop culture Wide-range reader of news, including op-eds Proficient in both tape and desktop editing Additional Job Requirements: Must be willing to work in Washington, D.C.
