Senior Planner

Mon-Fri 8AM-5PM Essential Duties and Responsibilities Serves as the main point of contact for sales, engineering, production, purchasing, and service to prioritize the kitting and assembly of products. Collaborates with these departments to establish production schedules and plans. Reviews and analyzes newly created and existing products. Determines if we make or buy the product. Maintains critical planning information in the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), such as coverage groups, production pools, buyer groups, lead times, minimum inventory, order minimums and multiples, routes, bill of materials, forecasts, etc. Utilize Master Planning in the ERP system to firm, plan, schedule, and process production orders to meet demand and inventory targets. Expedites the shortages to meet the customer's delivery dates. Assist with resolving scheduling and capacity conflicts. Alerts the appropriate departments of schedule changes or delays. Works with production and quality to address defective products, determine the root cause, and take corrective action. Identify and drive process and product improvements to optimize inventory, reduce lead times, and improve quality and on-time delivery performance. Other Responsibilities Observe all safety and security procedures for our area. Use equipment and materials properly and report potentially unsafe conditions to management. Your personal safety actions will be accountable in your performance review. Education and/or Experience High School/GED Required. Associates or bachelor's preferred; or 3-10 years related experience. ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), MRP (Material Requirements Planning), and inventory management experience are preferred, but we will offer training for the right candidate with the right background. Computer Skills High level of understanding of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) or MRP (Material Requirements Planning). Microsoft Dynamics Supply Chain Management (SCM), Finance & Operations (F&O), Microsoft AX, or Microsoft Business Central experience is a plus. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) CPIM (Certified Production & Inventory Manager) or CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) certifications are a plus. Other Skills and Knowledge Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Strong organization, problem-solving, and analytical skills are essential. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with sales, engineering, production, purchasing, and vendors. Demonstrates attention to detail.
