Fire Sprinkler Service Foreman

Responsibilities Relocating sprinkler heads Changing bad piping Installing backflows on existing sprinkler systems Troubleshooting dry pipe valves, pre‑action valves, alarm valves, and deluge valves Identifying system deficiencies and preparing accurate and timely inspection reports Leading 2–3 person crews on customer sites Conducting routine preventative maintenance on sprinkler fire systems Servicing and inspecting wet, dry and pre‑action systems Interacting with customers in a mature and professional manner Providing advanced technical assistance for team members and customers Teaching trade skills to advancing apprentices/helpers Completing detailed inspection reports, documenting issues and results of work Protecting and maintaining company equipment Inspecting and maintaining the truck and related equipment, initiating repair requests Operating warehouse equipment safely and following manufacturer’s safety instructions Working in a safe manner per company safety procedures, including driver safety and PPE Responding to emergency service calls Maintaining a clean and safe workspace Performing other duties assigned by management Qualifications Minimum 3 years of fire sprinkler service experience Advanced working knowledge of NFPA 13 and NFPA 25 Experience with commercial and residential systems Skilled operation of sprinkler trade equipment (impact wrenches, band saws, measuring devices, fitting take‑outs, manual lifting devices, grooving machines, threading machines, powered industrial lifting devices) Troubleshooting skills Good interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team and independently Clean driving record and valid driver’s license Flexible scheduling (evening, weekend, out‑of‑town assignments) Ability to act in a lead capacity Physical Requirements While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and is occasionally required to lift and/or move heavy objects. The work also requires the following physical abilities in order to perform the essential job functions: balancing, climbing, grasping, hearing, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, repetitive motion, speaking, talking, and visual acuity.
