Outpatient Physical Therapist

Job Description

As an Outpatient Physical Therapist, you will evaluate assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans according to patient needs, goals, and physician directions. You will be responsible for delegating and directing therapy services while ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that facilitate an effective return to community activities. In addition to patient care, you will serve as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals focused on progressing patients toward discharge.
• Document care in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and clinic guidelines.
• Participate in student programs and provide a positive learning environment for students with appropriate supervision.
• Maintain professional licensure in good standing and adhere to relevant continuing education requirements.
• Demonstrate a commitment to patient and employee safety through adherence to safety protocols.
• Engage in professional development to enhance skills and competencies.
• Contribute to performance improvement initiatives within the organization.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active and applicable state licensure for physical therapy.

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position with shifts scheduled as 5x8.0.
