Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Security Clearance Required in Mc Lean, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with personnel and visitors, and uphold access-control procedures. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out armed security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, control visitor entry, and document daily activities, incidents, and irregular conditions in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain readiness of assigned equipment and communicate promptly with site contacts, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Possess an active DoD Secret clearance.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
