Cash Application Specialist

Job Title: Cash Application Specialist Location : Highway 280 - Birmingham, AL (ONSITE) Salary Range: $47,000 - $52,000 Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Cash Application Specialist to support the accurate and timely application of incoming payments. This role plays a key part in maintaining financial records, resolving discrepancies, and supporting the overall accounts receivable process. Key Responsibilities: Post and apply daily customer payments (ACH, wire, check, credit card) Reconcile payments to customer accounts and invoices Research and resolve payment discrepancies and unapplied cash Maintain accurate records of transactions and account activity Communicate with customers and internal teams regarding payment issues Assist with month-end closing and reporting Qualifications: 1–3 years of cash application, accounts receivable, or related experience Strong attention to detail and accuracy Basic understanding of accounting principles Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems/ERP Strong problem-solving and communication skills Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
