Position Overview We are seeking a spirited, highly personable Assistant Manager to join our Player Relations team at our New Boca Paddle location in Boca Raton, FL. The Assistant Manager will support the Retail & Team Operations Manager and the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of day-to-day operations of the Club. This includes managing daily operations of pickleball, padel, special events, recovery zone and retail sales. The Assistant Manager may be delegated certain areas of responsibility based on their interest and expertise and should be able to provide leadership when the Retail and Team Operations Manager or GM is not on-site. The Assistant Manager should be a supportive and collaborative colleague who is dependable and can easily take on a leadership role, always possessing bright energy and positivity towards other team members and Boca Paddle’s guests. Key Responsibilities Monitor, train, and motivate staff to ensure productivity and a positive, collaborative work environment Assist the Retail and Team Operations Manager in creating and managing weekly schedules for Player Relations Staff and On-Site Event Coordinators, adjusting staffing levels based on events and operational needs Coordinate with the Events team to ensure seamless execution of all event operations Work closely with the Food & Beverage team to assist members and guests to maintain the highest standards of quality, service, and guest experience Assist the Membership Manager to maximize fun and exposure to prospective members during Club tours Assist with retail operations, including inventory tracking, sales, and collaborating on new merchandise selections and orders Support facility management needs, including maintenance, repairs, cleaning, trash removal, and pest control coordination Collaborate with Marketing to execute on-site activations, support marketing initiatives, and proactively identify opportunities for additional marketing support Deliver an exceptional customer experience for all Boca Paddle guests Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, sponsors, and partners as needed Represent Boca Paddle in a manner consistent with the brand’s values and standards Skills & Qualifications Friendly, trustworthy, and reliable with exceptional customer service skills Dependable, collaborative team player with strong leadership instincts Flexible schedule availability, including weekends and evenings Club operating hours: 7 days a week, 7:00am - 10:00pm Comfortable using POS systems, iPads/laptops, and other technology Strong multitasker able to "wear many hats" in a fast-paced environment 2 years of managerial experience required Demonstrates integrity, credibility, and dedication to Boca Paddle’s mission Pickleball and/or Padel experience highly preferred More Information Compensation: up to $28/hour.
