Early Childhood Substitute Teacher - Detroit

ECE Subhub is hiring Early Childhood Substitute Teachers to support classrooms serving children ages 0–5. As a substitute teacher, you will work alongside early childhood teams to help create a safe, positive, and engaging environment for children. Responsibilities may include assisting with classroom activities, supporting daily routines, helping implement lesson plans, building positive relationships with children and staff, and maintaining a warm and professional classroom presence. This position is a great fit for retirees, college students, individuals reentering the workforce, or anyone looking for part‑time to full‑time weekday work in early childhood education. Substitute teachers can choose where they work and must be available at least two days per week. Qualifications We are looking for candidates who meet one or more of the following qualifications: Experience working with children from birth through age 5 Associate degree or 18 college credits in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Social Work, Human Services, Youth or Family Studies, or Elementary Education Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Family or Youth Studies, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education with ZA or ZS endorsement, Human Services, or Child Development Current CDA credential CPR Adult and Pediatric Certification is preferred.
