Senior Underwriter, Professional Risks (MPL)

Position Sr. Underwriter (MPL) – Los Angeles Responsibilities Underwrite, price, and negotiate professional liability, commercial general liability, and cross‑sold cyber accounts in accordance with company strategy and product guidelines. Develop new broker relationships and deepen existing broker relationships within the West Coast region. Engage with the national MPL team for collaborative learning and knowledge sharing. Maintain excellent customer service standards and exceed minimum quote output numbers set by the MPL manager. Travel regionally as required, including industry events and broker visits. Qualifications 5+ years of experience underwriting professional E&O coverage (preferred in commercial lines). Customer‑centric mindset with exceptional service orientation. Strong understanding of sales principles, presentation, negotiation, and competitive drive. Team‑oriented with ability to collaborate across divisions. Proven track record of profitable underwriting. Outgoing, detail‑focused, results‑driven. Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently in a collaborative environment. B.A./B.S. degree preferred. Willingness to travel up to 25% across West Coast, Mid‑West, and Mountain States. Benefits & Compensation Salary range: $100,000–$125,000 per year.
