Job Details

• Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (Travel RN / ER Nurse)
• Location: Peoria, Illinois 61637
• Start Date: 09/14/2026
• End Date: 03/15/2027
• Contract Length: 26 weeks
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts
• Hours: 36 hours per week, typically 3 shifts per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,130-$2,250
• Care Setting: Acute care Emergency Department
• Charting System: EPIC
• Trauma Level: Level I trauma center

Job Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license or confirmation that the licensure process has been initiated
• Minimum of 1 year of recent nursing experience required; 2 years of emergency room nursing experience preferred
• Prior travel nurse assignment experience preferred
• BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, and TNCC or TNS required
• Strong emergency nursing and clinical assessment skills with the ability to care for a wide range of patient acuity levels
• Ability to recognize and respond quickly to critical rhythms and life-threatening changes in patient condition
• Comfort working with vasopressors, cardiac drips, antihypertensive medications, and other critical infusions
• SANE RN experience preferred
• Experience in a teaching hospital or acute care hospital environment is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to Emergency Department patients across all age groups
• Assess, triage, stabilize, and monitor patients with medical, trauma, stroke, and cardiac emergencies
• Support the care of critical patients in a fast-paced ER and Level I trauma environment
• Safely manage and titrate complex drips as ordered
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, ED techs, and respiratory therapy to deliver efficient patient care
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond quickly to changes in patient status
• Assist with trauma care once patients have been stabilized and transferred into unit flow
• Help maintain smooth department operations, including patient flow, documentation, and teamwork across shifts
