Make a lasting impact in education by providing dedicated support to an individual student as a paraprofessional in a school setting. This long-term contract role offers the chance to work closely with a student in a 1:1 capacity, fostering both academic and personal growth. The assignment is expected to run through December 2026, with potential for extension, and starts as soon as possible.

Desired Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional in an educational setting
• Professional or academic background working with children or young adults
• Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, diverse classroom environment
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families
• Current paraprofessional credentials (highly preferred and prioritized)
• Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Main Responsibilities:

• Support a designated student in academic, behavioral, and/or social tasks throughout the school day
• Implement personalized strategies and accommodations as directed by educators and support staff
• Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere to encourage student engagement
• Document and report student progress or challenges as needed
• Assist in classroom activities and transitions
• Maintain clear and respectful communication with teachers and families
