Pay: $30.00 – $38.00 per hour (based on experience)
Position Overview
Sacred Ground Excavation LLC is seeking an experienced and motivated Heavy Equipment Foreman Operator to lead excavation crews and operate heavy equipment on a variety of site development and excavation projects.
This position requires a strong leader who can effectively manage crews, operate equipment safely and efficiently, and ensure projects are completed on schedule while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, skid steers, bulldozers, and related machinery
- Lead and supervise excavation crews on residential and commercial job sites
- Coordinate daily job site activities and workflow
- Read and interpret project plans, grades, and site layouts
- Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications
- Perform grading, trenching, excavation, and site preparation work
- Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance or repair needs
- Enforce company safety procedures and OSHA compliance standards
- Communicate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, and crew members
- Train and mentor crew members as needed
- Assist with site inspections and quality control efforts
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of experience operating heavy equipment required
- Minimum of 2 years of Heavy Equipment Foreman experience required
- Strong knowledge of excavation, grading, trenching, and site development operations
- Ability to safely operate a variety of heavy construction equipment
- Leadership experience managing crews and coordinating job site activities
- Ability to read blueprints, grades, and project plans preferred
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to safety
- Valid driver’s license preferred
