Role Summary We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our Woodbury facility. As the General Manager, you will be the face of the club, responsible for driving revenue, managing facility operations, leading a high-performing team, and delivering an unparalleled player experience. This is a full-time, on-site role that requires a hands‑on leader who can balance financial management with court-side community engagement. You will collaborate closely with ownership on strategic planning, marketing initiatives, and long-term growth opportunities. Key Responsibilities Club Operations & Facility Management: Oversee daily operations, including court scheduling, front desk management, inventory control, vendor coordination, and maintaining high facility standards for safety and cleanliness. Team Leadership: Recruit, train, schedule, and coach club staff. Foster a collaborative, positive, and player-centered work culture. Financial & Performance Tracking: Manage the club budget, monitor revenue/expenses, track key performance metrics, and use data-driven insights to optimize business performance. Programming & Events: Ensure the seamless execution of leagues, tournaments, corporate events, clinics, and open play. Maximize court utilization and player participation. Member Experience & Community Outreach: Build positive relationships with members, handle escalated guest concerns, and implement marketing initiatives and outreach to grow the local pickleball community. Technology & Admin: Master and manage the club’s POS and court-scheduling software, generate operational reports, and oversee general administrative duties. Qualifications Experience: Previous management experience in sports facility management, fitness centers, hospitality, country clubs, or recreation facilities. A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sports Management, or Hospitality is preferred but not required. Leadership & Business Acumen: Proven ability to manage teams, oversee budgets, forecast revenue, and optimize operational efficiency. Customer Service Excellence: Exceptional communication skills with a track record of building member loyalty and resolving issues smoothly. Event Execution: Experience planning and executing sports tournaments, leagues, or large-scale hospitality events. Tech Savvy: Proficiency with Court Reserve, POS software, scheduling tools, and standard office applications. Passion for the Game: Strong knowledge of pickleball (or similar racquet sports) and an enthusiasm for fostering a safe, inclusive, and competitive environment for all skill levels. Flexibility: Ability to work on-site with a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays to support peak club hours and events.
