Job Description

This role focuses on applying powder-based coatings to metal parts in a clean, smaller metal shop environment. You will manually rack materials for the paint booth, prepare parts for coating, operate coating machinery, and ensure high-quality finishes on all products.

Responsibilities

• Manually rack metal materials and parts to prepare them for entry into the powder coating paint booth.
• Apply powder-based coatings to metal components using industrial painting and coating equipment.
• Perform thorough paint preparation, including cleaning, sanding, and inspecting parts before coating.
• Operate coating machinery and manually run paint lines in and out of the booths to maintain consistent production flow.
• Monitor coating thickness, coverage, and finish quality to meet established standards.
• Inspect finished parts for defects, touch up as needed, and ensure all products meet quality requirements.
• Handle and move parts and materials safely, consistently lifting 15+ pounds throughout the shift.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including paint booths and surrounding equipment.
• Follow all safety procedures related to industrial painting, powder coating, and material handling.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate any issues with equipment, materials, or quality to ensure smooth operations.

• At least 1 year of powder coat painting experience in an industrial or metal shop environment.
• Hands-on experience with painting, paint preparation, and industrial painting processes.
• Ability to manually operate paint lines in and out of powder coating booths.
• Experience working with paint booths, coatings, spray applications, and metal shop operations.
• Ability to consistently lift 15+ pounds during the shift.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality finishes and accurate inspection of parts.

• 6+ months of forklift experience is a plus.
• Experience with sanding and surface preparation for powder coating.
• Background working in an industrial, powder coat, or metal shop environment.
• Familiarity with paint lines, coatings, spray equipment, and paint booth operations.

Work Environment

The role is based in a clean, smaller machine and metal shop with approximately 40 people on shift, including office personnel, creating a friendly and familiar atmosphere where everyone knows each other by first name. You will work around industrial painting and powder coating equipment, paint booths, and metal shop tools. This position is on the 2nd shift, Monday through Thursday, from 2:45 p.m. to 12:45 a.m., providing a consistent four-day workweek schedule.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Little Chute, WI.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Little Chute,WI.
