Assistant Controller
We're partnering with a stable, growth-oriented organization seeking a hands-on accounting leader to step into a high-impact role supporting a strong Controller and overseeing core accounting operations. The company operates in a dynamic environment with meaningful operational complexity, requiring someone who can balance technical accounting expertise with team leadership and process improvement. This individual will oversee financial reporting, general ledger, cost accounting, audit support, tax compliance, and month-end close, while driving stronger internal controls and system enhancements. The role offers visibility to leadership and the opportunity to elevate processes within a growing platform.
Title: Assistant Controller
Compensation: Up to $179K Base + Benefits
Location: 4x/week Onsite in the Hawthorne/El Segundo area
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 5+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience
- Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge
- Experience owning/leading month-end close and financial reporting
- Audit support experience (PBC preparation)
- State and local tax compliance exposure
- Advanced Excel proficiency
- ERP experience (AS400 strongly preferred)
- Cost accounting experience strongly preferred.
